Don't be daft RC as 40" ro's are not a waste of money and no good. If that were the case why are they fitted to every decent van mount also static systems available today?

Yes we all know you can make pure with a small 200-300 gpd ro and get by if using about 200 -300 ltr a day from a static 1000 ltr holding tank with the ro running hours a day/night. However will come to a point when a round grows ppl will need a higher production rate ro to cope with daily water usage.

For large commercial jobs like schools etc and big daily rounds most seem to use a 600 - 1000 ltr van mounts with also an onboard 40" ro/di system fitted. Also when required have the option to produce pure onsite if access to an outside tap is available. In the meantime back at base they may also have a static 4040 ro system filling their holding tanks with pure too.

Even the best single 4040 setup will only produce about 120 ltr of pure per hour. Go figure /emoticons/biggrin.png

i never said that a 4040 is a waste of money!

the guy i used to work with in lincoln had the same set up as me, but only have 600lts storage, works from a 250lt tank around the town he lives,

hes is out 5 days a week, and he is flat out with work each work day for the month, and he hasnt run out of water, about 25 houses aday, plus commercial.

its when you get guys working with you that you need more. everyone has there own way of producing.

no he has a 250lt tank, then goes home to fill up at lunch, 90% of his work is within 3-4 miles of his house, been going for 22 years now.
