Window cleaning van supplier issue

How much are you out of pocket with this?

Just in January I posted my comment about this business.

My opinion, as an old timer with probably less than 5% of his life left, is this; Is it worth the hassle? Some will argue that it's the principle, and I don't disagree. But this man doesn't seem to respond to issues customer's have after purchase. Is it worth all the drama trying to get your money back for the repairs which, in my opinion, aren't major.

You could have sent the van back, but you choose not to. I get that. But my feeling from other's experiences is that you are "flogging a dead horse." (Excuse the terrible expression.)

This is a different, more serious case. Some of the suggestions in this thread agree with the points made in this video.

My suggestion is to write it off against tax as a business expense and move on with life. Focus on your business. I agree what's happened isn't right, but he could end up saying that he never said he would pay for the repairs.

We have recently read about a business owner saying in court that he didn't know about the safety issues regarding strapping an IBC tank into a Transit van, which resulted in the death of an employee (which he called a subcontractor.) He was warned numerous times on the forums that using ratchet straps wasn't safe enough; he just lied in court.
