24v BOOSTER AQUATIC PUMP FOR REVERSE OSMOSIS

hi guys I got 1 of these whats 4 years old but suddenly stopped working, its run by electric so don't see why its broke. I know its 4 years old but ive probably only had 12-18 month out of it, rest of time it was packed away as I did have a 2nd at one point. I tapped it with hammer and it half started then stopped so its deffo nackered. just wondering should these pumps be breaking? if so how long should we get out of them? just thought id ask for any advice before I buy a new one.

I'm on my third. Previous two start leaking after about 18 month/ 2 years
