250 litre tank ratio to houses ?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

It’s not easy but certainly achievable. I have some commercial work that can bring in £80+ per hour. I have been doing this a very long time and have built a good solid, compact domestic round. Average prices are £8/9 for your average 3 bed semi and go up accordingly with the house size. Usually average around £50/hour on houses. I’ve heard of some lads charging £15+ for 3 bed semis, they must be on mega money. Either that or they cover a large area and are only doing a few jobs an hour.
Fair play mate but I can only do 3 houses a hour and my rounds unbelievably compact. Granted my average price is £10 a house. And I only work 6 solid hours a day any more I'm dead lol maybe I should start working 8 hours a day as I have the work.

go straight for a 500L tank,i only work short days(5-6 hours a day)and i regularly use 400L per day, sometimes 450L....you dont want to drain your tank too low as you end up with airlocks which can be annoying....also as you gain more experience with wfp then you ll wfp nearly EVERY JOB as its just so damn quick and easy.....
I have some days over £400, then I have some days at only £250. Nice easy quick days though, early finish.

I'm going to bring the lower earning days up in a month or two when I do I'll miss those early finishers.

I don’t work on a daily target really, I only aim for hourly rate. I’m trying to aim for £30 a hour MINIMUM this year, but I still have a few rounds/jobs that pay £25ish. I’ll hopefully filter them out this year though.

Aslong as I don’t take take the mick I’ll always earn enough if i work the majority of the hours in the week.

But even hourly rate can vary if you talk a lot, long lunch & look at the forum lol

he wont be averaging £350 a day EVERY day. on his own.......thatll be one of his better days....it still evens itself out over a month into a half decent living though.....

you never get window cleaners mention there lower earning days do you??
Yeh true. I did a 1st clean a few week ago, it’s £30 regular price, but I wanted the job so just said £40 first clean. The frames & sills were green. Took me 2hrs. And a hard 2hrs. Used loads of ubix & pure.

More or less, ye it is. Do have some days were I can only do say 250ish but then I’ll have some were 500 is easily done on my commercials.

It’s took me a long time to get were I am and when I first started I took over a good round so probs 30-40 years in the making as I’m not sure exactly how long he was building it for before I took over. Are you wfp or trad as I used to do at least 4/5 3 bed semis when I was trad. Maybe your not quite there with your speed and ways of working yet or maybe your round isn’t as tight as you may think.

ive been going 26 years this year and im nowhere near averaging £350 a day,i only work short days though(5 or 6 hours a day 4 or 5 days a week)......

TBH im happy with  £45k turnover for a part time window cleaning job.....

some of you guys must be turning over £60k+ a year working on your own!personally ive never heard of any one man bands earning anywhere near that much a year.....

you must be the highest earning window cleaners in the country!?

Exactly. I'm dead after cleaning windows non stop 6 hours a day 3 houses an hour or more there's no way I could work any faster. Yes I could do longer hours but I don't wanna. Amd i'm only 32 and fit. I can make £800 plus every week doing a 6 hour day 5 days a week so I'm more than happy with that. Must increase the prices this year tho as I'm clearly not making enough lol

I'm currently at £63k working 4 most weeks now and again 5 days. Not long hours either, usually school hours. Took me 10 years though.

Having said that its - 10k for costs and then the tax man...

Haha. No were near mate. There’s lads I’ve spoken to on here that make 350/day a walk on the park. I also know lads personally but they are more into commercial cleaning. It’s all about what you want. Some are happy plodding along doing a few hours a day. Some want more. You’ve just gotta do what’s right for you.

I average about 250 a day and do 20 days a month

Some are better some are less and that is with a backpack with 300l tank and bilge pump to fill it

Once you get used to it you can get away with not much water

I use a 35cm ultimate brush on a swivel with gardiners backpack on full flow and can easily do 2 houses (3 bed semis) with 1 fill

No tap and no univalve just work quick

With 4 1mm jets in a big brush rinsing is very minimal

People saying how much their turnover is per day ? @Cleanco with respect you say you were doing 4-5 semis an hour 20 years ago at £4.50 trad and now with wfp those houses are £8-9 personally can't see how you can be working flat out all day every day, Turnover is way off actual profit across the board for all of us and those with more expenses and doing evening cash collections their profit is way off what they tell people

7 hours a day and five days a week averaging £50 per hour, do the math. Wasnt talking about actual profit but how much work can be done with specific amounts of water. Think everyone’s gone way off topic here and I’m sensing a little animosity creeping in here so I’m gonna leave you with that.

No animosity at all I was just using what you said as an example with what you said, now I appreciate some days are better than others as we all have those and some not so good days so you are talking averages so no worries and hopefully no bad feelings ?
