My first year I spent £8350 but I already had the van on the road. Last year I spent £28250 and made £31000. I have nearly got everything now so makes a lot of difference. In any business the beginning is the hardest but going into the third year is easy street.

£10k for the hot water tank system, £2k for a Falch nozzle for lance, £2k for wfps, £1k for a Whacker and all the rest. It doesn't take long when you are multi tasking, doing a PW on Wednesday.

Think I must have spent around £700. Old ford escort, ladder and some basic trad equipment of which I got given most of. You don’t need to spend £1000’s in this game to make money. I’ve built the rest of my stuff up over time.

12k for me, including buying water etc. More than I hoped but set up for 2 men from a van now. That’s the first year, including everything, advertising etc. Hopefully way less than that this year!!

I don't claim for water as not on a meter. If you are then you can ask for a sub meter I believe which will allow you to claim your water costs
