Anyone use a kangoo?

My opinion is stay away , I had one was immaculate low miles etc, blew 3 turbos in 2 weeks, I had to get shot of it in the end it broke my heart. Was supposedly fixed in the end , I didn't give it much of a run incase it blew again

I know what your saying mate. Thing is you hear horror stories about every van/car on the road so it hard to decide what's best. I'm sure there's plenty out there that haven't had turbo problems.

No vehicle is perfect because they are designed to fail otherwise they wouldn't sell any new ones or make money on repairs.

Anyway I've applied for finance on one now, might not get accepted though.

I hope you get a good one! My postman uses one and he's hard on it, he thinks they are great compared to the new Fiat doblo, he said it's had stacks of problems

well we shall see, its a lottery isnt is, i had an old fiat scudo 51 plate with 300k on 2 years no problems whatsover, then a bought a 57 plate 100k on and its cost me a fair bit so far. Would like a nearly new one this time to hopefully have a few years problem free, at least thats the idea.

Good little econocial engines from what i remenber 54mpg

Jist dont take a chance with the belts on these if there isnt a receipt get it done

Regards earlier post regarding 3 turbos blown in 2 week is probaly mechanics fault who has just bolted on the new turbos

Most turbos fail due to oil stravation

Usually when the feed pipes etc get gunked up

So when a turbo is replaced properly all the feed pipes etc need cleaning

Keep your van serviced regulary and maybe egr blank and you will have no issues

Usually when the feed pipes etc get gunked up

So when a turbo is replaced properly all the feed pipes etc need cleaning

Keep your van serviced regulary and maybe egr blank and you will have no issues

It had the egr blanked and dpf delete the 3rd time, egr pipe was cleaned the first time. The company gave warranty with the turbos and weren't going to replace it as it's the only engine they won't give a warranty with because there it's a common fault on the majority of them apparently. It also had a new oil pump as well!

I know enough about engines etc to give it a thorough check

1 owner from new and company owned inc all service history and belt has been done

92k and going for 2 grand

Only 6 years old too

Only downside is it means a drive to bristol on saturday if i want it

New turbos carnt just blow there has to be something causing it to

Most turbo companys wont offer any warranty on any turbo unless the proper protocol is followed and you have a geniune receipt for the work carried out by a vat registered garage

Not being funny just trying help out

The new 1,6 hdi in the partners etc get flack for turbo failure as well

Good and bad in all vans alot i think is from previous owners

The first time was the mechanics fault he admitted he should have done something, he followed the protocol the next time and it blew and then the next time the company put it down to a faulty turbo, he had all the receipts from a car mapper and also the oil pump. It was the 1.6 I had

I like them I'd buy a older one tho seen some belters for less than a grand these new diesel vans have to many valves on and this and that I had a 02 berlingo never missed a beat paid 800 quid for it earnt me 1000s and easy to service on ya own etc.

There nippy little engines

When my missus first passed her test years ago

I bought her the Clio 1.5 dci and it was brilliant

The engines are super economical

My brother in law hs one of those clios for work..70mpg and 30 quid a year tax

How come my van is 20 quid a month tax then?? must be cos it is a commercial vehicle

I reckon i will be better off claiming mileage rather than fuel receipts as it used hardly anything to drive 88 miles back in it

Tax is supposed to be emission based but it's crap because even tho your van has the same engine and emissions as a Clio at 30 a year you will pay over £200 because its commercial lol
