Are Univalves temperamental?

I fitted the hose right to the top of univalve and I ran the water feed from my outside tap. Now cut back the excess hose from the univalve and will be running from backpacks and maybe try the customers outside tap if everything is going well. Will post my results tomorrow.

In Industry any valve or hose etc.. will have been tested and accredited a PSI rating. For example some John Guest fitting will only take max 150 PSI. 

Whereas the Univalve has had not had this test and a local guy has been through several of these. He likes to use high flow so maybe an issue the pressure is too much.

You have basically identified the problem Doug. The pump will be cycling on and off as it will be delivering a higher flow than the jets and hose can accommodate.
