Hi. I am feeling dumb today so request some ideas. I purchased (at last) a yuasa 12v 14Ah battery plus the Yuasa 1.5 amp charger. Now the +/- connection on the battery are male spade ends but the charger has large croc clips. When connecting croc clip to spades on battery it does not seem a really good connection althought to be fair it did charge.Trying to think of the best way to make a good solid connection. The connections from pump or is it the controller also are croc clips. I do not really want to bend the battery spades up as no idea what this would do the the spade connection in battery.
I thought something like a female spade end permanently on the battery terminals then a wire from the female spade to a wago connector. Then another piece of wire coming out of the wago that will connect to the croc clips. Trying to think of the best thing to connect end on wire coming out of the wago so croc clips can clamp onto to. I can only think of a large ring connector or a bullet connector with some of the plasric removed. Does sound complicated and I suspect some will say just stick croc clips directly onto the battery male spades but any other ideas will be considered. Thanks for any input.

Croc clips are not very good for charging batteries or powering stuff.
Personally I would change all the connections to something a bit more suitable.
Probably the easiest is spade connections - I would change the croc clips to female spades on both the charger and your pump controller.

You may very well manage to purchase the correct size spade fittings from Toolstation, you'll end up with far more than you need but if you need them ASAP 🤞

I nedded some last year and I was able to get them from Toolstation it will involve removing the crocodile clips from your charger.
