I’ve changed to the phantom kevinc250 - you should have had a play when I saw you!!!! I’ve only got the 3k carbon though but I absolutely love it. The only wear it’s showing is the bung on the end of the pole. Would I go back to Gardiners? Nope [emoji1304] don’t get me wrong I still use my quick-loc adaptors and the odd brush but I’ve been really impressed with the phantom. Plus gardiners NEVER offer discounts unless they are getting rid of discontinued lines. I’d hoped WCW were going to offer 24% off so I could get the hi-mod version, it’ll have to wait until the new year now.

I was looking at the hi mod version too neil but felt it was a tad too much money for me to spend on an unknown pole,-but I did ponder it for a few days though,

Shame your not closer mate you could have borrowed mine for a day. I went for the 25ft which - to be fair - is a bit long (closed length) for every day work. I’ve not put it down since I’ve had it though and still have the DuPont brick on the end too!!

It  would be the clamps on my extreme and the  clamps on one of the slx's-the older wobbly clamp on my 39' pole is fine and is smooth to use, i'm starting to get rsi from opening the clamps  and closing them (I don't use my thumbs when scrolling on my phone so it has to be the clamps)so its most likely that over the years its built up to a point where its becoming painfull and a change or adapting is becoming more apparent hence my question about the phantoms,it wasn't for the sake of kicking off and I didn't want a comparison war or argument starting just honest answers about how the pole works for guys who use them on a daily basis.

It only a bargain if you need them...

must admit ive put a few things in and out of the basket today, but i dont really NEED anything at the minute, a 600 quid pole for 500 sounds great but its still 500 quid gone

Mind you i just bought a new bike for 900 down from 1200 last week lol so cant splurge right now.....
