Blocked downpipes and Inteceptors

WCF

Help Support WCF:

This only applies to people with blow functions on their vacs and by our first attempt I think you need something were you can build the revs up.

Just a new technique we worked out doing a gutter 35' up with a blocked gooseneck. This was blocked, we believe, past the 1st bend so the vac couldn't get to it. We didn't fancy putting the 12 rung triples up that would probably just have reached up so we filled the 15m vac hose with water put the tool down the neck and put the blow function on, unfortunately the pressure blew the hose off, as well as showering us from the gutter, and we got soaked.

For our second attempt we slowly built the revs until full revs, this cleared the blockage. Don't know if the first blast loosened it or not but wouldn't try it again for obvious reasons, unless the 2nd method didn't work without doing so.

That’s not a bad idea I must admit we only use the blow function remove loose moss from roofs after scraping them , what stops the water going into the drum until you turn up the reves if the pole is up in the air surely it would syphon down ?
