Hi can anyone tell me how to calibrate my analogue controller. It was done when the van Mount was built, but I think it may need doing again. I have looked on Williamson website, but not sure which PDF.

The original Varistreams were analogue. The one we still have is adjusted from inside. You need to loosen the 4 screws holding the front panel on and carefully remove it. It may need a bit of gentle prising off as there is a seal that could stick.

On the back of the PC board you will see a blue pot. If you look very carefully you will see letters and an indicator. Make a note of where the indicator is pointing to. Now get a small electronics screw driver and rotate the pot clokwise and anticlock wise 20 or 30 times. All you are doing is cleaning the tracks inside the pot as they tend to 'corrode' with time. Put the pot back to its original setting and test it. If its working fine then reassemble.

Thank you. It might just be me then, my flow seems to have dropped, so I wondered if it needed calibrating,  but it's only two months old. Thanks for the info then.

OK. If its 2 months old then it won't be analogue. They were replaced by digital units about 10 years ago.

Usually the sign for needing to recalibrate the controller is if the flow to the brush pulses as the pump cuts in and out. If yours isn't doing that then just bump the controller up one more digit. Water doesn't more as fast and as easily when its cold. The battery is also running at 25% less efficiency and the hose isn't as flexible.

It will come right next summer :1f603:
