    Wouldn't it be better lightly sanded and treated with preserver ?

    Can't believe you said that even Stevens - today I actually had hypo withdrawal symptoms as its been a few days

    Biocide.
    It isn't an instant clean - takes weeks, but is kinder to wood, won't bleach the natural colour and will kill the spores too.
