Been thinking of ways to get people's attention

Would cleaning estate signs be a good way? Or maybe bus stops?

Cleaning then taking pictures of before/after results

Is there anything else that could be cleaned locally to get people onto my page

Theses things are done by the council a tender is put out every so often for cleaning the bus shelters ,sighnage etc, around hear , just be careful if you take it upon yourself to do it without the councils approval as if anyone fell over on water left behind or any damage is perceived to have been done they will come down on you like a tone of bricks , you are doing it with out there written approval technically you are breaking the law as they will require you to have a minimum of 5 million public liability , full rams , and a whole host of other things in place before you can do work for them , I certainly wouldn’t go sticking something like that on my web site you are opening yourself up to no end of grief

I thought about cleaning signs aswell. I saw a guy on Facebook doing it and he actually got featured in the local newspaper for it, he said it improved his reputation and he got a few jobs from it.

However,

1. I can’t find any dirty signs that need a good clean

2. From what Pjj mentioned above I think I’ll give it a miss.

I like the idea though and think if you can give something back to the community it only improves your reputation and is a great way to market yourself. Anyone got any other ideas?

I whole ole heartedly agree with your post , unfortunately we live in a world that has a I will prosecute you if you arnt careful culture , trying to do stuff like this is good for the community but the potential for problems is very high , where I live the local shop keepers decided to all get to get her on a couple of Sunday’s and pressure wash the pavements to clean it up they hired pressure washers and did the job and  it looked good , couple of weeks later they all got a letter from the council saying they weren’t insured , didn’t have permission to do it , and that they would be  prosecute if any damage was found to have been done , the council then refused them permission to continue doing it although the town council said it was ok , so now everyone won’t do anything, sad really but there you go
