That is interesting Bruce we have cleaned some panels with a softwashing solution it’s not recommend by manufacturers but we did hundreds of panels for a local solar farm years ago and it didn’t cause any damage as the manufacturers regularly tested the panels as part of there on going panel development program, we have also scraped lichen off panels with a razor blade scraper and again it hasn’t affected the panel’s output but I would not suggest this way of doing it to others In case any damage was caused

From a slightly different angle, so dish soap cleaning reduces light transmission!!!! I'm saying nothing about Trad cleaning Sorry to anyone who does Trad, I couldn't resist.
