Hi everyone! I run a 650ltr wfp system, I filter my water into the tank, it then goes through the pump, then through a di resin tank and then through reeks/brushes.... Today we pulled upto a job, started cleaning and it looks like minute bits of sand/grit being left on the window. We then went home, emptied the tank, flushed through all the pipes and refilled the resin, and it's still leaving stuff on windows /emoticons/sad.png any ideas what it could be, it's got us stumped, Thankyou

Hi @Window cleaning lady & welcome to the forum /emoticons/wink.png

Sounds to me you like you have the di tank hoses the wrong way around so the resin is being forced out of the riser tube and out onto the glass.

Just check you have the flow correct on the di which should cure the problem.

Hi, thanks for speedy reply, everything is on the right way, it's only since today we've noticed the problem, been fine up till now, can't understand it /emoticons/wacko.png

Is it leaving the stuff when you're rinsing? How many different houses have you done with this problem? Is it a dirty brush?

So @Window cleaning lady have you done a test to see if it is coming from the system or not?

As also can be caused by fine particles of grit/debris being washed down from the seals/frames you are also cleaning too that goes onto the glass. I've found this issue to be quite typical especially when doing first cleans.

It's def coming from somewhere in the system, we have done loads if first cleans and never experuenced the problem, it's doing it on our windows at home which have been cleaned loads of times, used a new brush head, rinsed glass with just the hose no brush, the grit looking stuff seems to be in everything /emoticons/sad.png when the glass is rinsed it takes a few seconds for the particles to appear /emoticons/wacko.png

What is the purity of your water before and after di? I tend to agree with Smurf that your di flow might be the wrong way round, although you say it's flowing the right way.

Yeah, everything's on the right way, before di it's 0.3 after it's 0.0, that's why we can't understand it, we did try and attach 2 hoses and brushes after the di, that's the only thing we've done differently

do the windows dry ok tho? cos i c lots of like grit stuff on glass as its drying an it dissapears when its dryed !!

Thanks everyone, will take some pics in the morning, not sure on the age of the pump as it was inherited with the van, will look for a model number and try and find out tomorrow, thanks again guys.

You can try natural way to clean the windows and get clean windows...Such as use antiseptic mouthwash, applied to the window and rub it. moreover, baking soda is also beneficial....

Have you changed anything in the last few days like different resin make! Normally when something like this happens there has been a change in process like new vessel, different resin.

Starting at the tank outlet I'd pour the water each time into a small container to see where the dirt particles is entering the water. It'll either be after tank - pump - DI vessel - hose pipe
