Power up hd had mine a couple of years works a treat 100m in around 30 seconds, would never go back to hand reeling again.Any of you guys had any experience with electric hose reels, thinking about a DIY electric reel.
Cheers ??Good luck but I would just buy one. It will take a lot of pounding and I wouldn't fancy trying to hand roll a diy electric when something goes wrong. :1f609:
Reeling in by hand is getting a bit of a pain, getting reelers elbow ? Like the look of the Power up HD but £500 is a bit steep at the moment.Power up hd had mine a couple of years works a treat 100m in around 30 seconds, would never go back to hand reeling again.
Where did you get the parts from Paul and what did you get. ??I made 2 at xmas,£100 the pair. never had a single problem with either, day in day out.
I got two mini moto cogs, two chains (make sure they are compatible with the cogs) and 2 24v motors.Where did you get the parts from Paul and what did you get. ??
Cheers Paul will take a look ??I got two mini moto cogs, two chains (make sure they are compatible with the cogs) and 2 24v motors.
Cost around £100, all from eBay.
The centre hole in the cogs didn't allow the spindle from the reel through, they were too small. So I simply filed them out until big enough, it would of been much easier if I would of taken measurements first.
I bought a couple of switches for like £1.50 each and wired it all up to my battery, works perfectly.
