Do ya have to have a flu if you leave the doors open on van when you clean ?

have to say yes for legal reasons,

(but not really, as long as there is airflow to blow the fumes out like door windows open a little bit and at least one back door open you should be fine but shhhhh i didnt say this! lol )

What I need is some kind of gas bottle cage or holder as it's a 13kg bottle and I just have it wedged in the corner with some ratchet straps for now. I've priced a few up and their around £200+ there's no way I'm shelling out that.

13kg thats a big one to carry, couldnt you use a smaller one then you could just use one of these

Just read on clean it up that someone's L5 blow up on them today, obviously they are not that safe, even with a 20 min timer !!!!

The battery box can also melt then inside of the heater catches fire too :wacko:

the heater itself didnt blow up, get the facts right before you start saying things!

the ingnition didnt work to start with and there was a little build up of gas, so when it did light it burnt off the gas.

they cant melt they are far enough away from the heat and never get hot!

the ingnition didnt work to start with and there was a little build up of gas, so when it did light it burnt off the gas.

So it was the igniter that failed causeing a gas build up, now that doesnt sound very safe to me, the L5 does not sound like a very good heater if when the igniter fails to light, you run the risk of it blowing up!!!!

the battery might be dead or low on power causing this, personally it was human error that did it. the heaters are very safe to use,

Mine has never blown up when the battery's were low after trying to get it to ignite a few times.

Was going to show you a pic of an L5 that one of the lads on another forum had as the battery box melted and caught fire.

Unfortunately I can't seem to find it now as was at least 2 years ago that it happened.

There are loads of reasons why it could happen, wind, low gas, low battery, human error, not servicing the boiler

GAs builds up due to it being fitted in a poorly vented place,

Don't forget the heater never blow up!!! It was just excess gas burning off.
