Equipment for pole and tank where best to buy

WCF

@AGlassAct basically what he may be saying is that other suppliers prices are higher all year round just to knock £20 off on a promo once or twice a year, Black Friday is one of the biggest sales gimmicks known to man and it's been proven so in studies on high street and online stores.

Is a brush included in the price of a Phantom pole? Another poster said it wasn't a while back.
Not only does it not include a brush but it doesn't include an angle adapter or pole hose either. I can't be bothered to work out the percentage difference but I imagine the Gardiner equivalent to each pole is more then 10% cheaper all year round. I'm gonna shut my mouth now before Alex increases his prices ?

Before someone reports me for fake news the website actually says

''Includes PHANTOM DuPont® NYLON Dual-Trim Brush, Angle Neck with Microbore or Hozelock Male Connector''

But when you select the options at the bottom of the page it adds it to the price. When you follow the link to

Add 'PHANTOM Complete Your Pole' Kit to Your Basket or at Checkout

It takes you to a brush and adds the cost of the brush to your order but doesn't let you choose the connections you want.

I disagree - Black Friday May be one of the biggest sales gimmicks known to man but you tell me what other time of year you can get a power up HD with 24% off ? Even Jordan at waterworks only offered 20% at the show (I brought one). I brought two HD’s from WCW this year. I agree most prices are available at other times but if you have something specific and follow the price all year I can 99% guarantee the specific ‘deal’ I got - and waited for - on the power ups is not repeated. I understand Alex Gardiner’s sales approach, I have a lot of respect for what he has done for the window cleaning industry as a whole, I’ve heard the sales patter before and it’s fair enough - It’s actually a nice change that the prices are the same for everyone all year because you know where you stand and assume the price is the ‘best’ price, I also admire Alex for coming on to an open forum to answer question and represent his brand - what better way to get customer feedback, recommendations and research. Unfortunately I’m savvy enough to time certain purchases for certain times of the year as I know I can get them slightly cheaper. I will repeat for the thirtieth time, I love gardiner products, no one sells john guest or the rectus ‘equivalents’ any cheaper and the customer service has always been outstanding. I took a gamble on the phantom because the ‘engineering’ of the clamps actually made sense (maybe I’m wrong). It’s rare a gamble that paid off and I have been rather pleased with my purchase - I was also pleased with the three Gardiner poles I own, what I do find frustrating is people are quite happy to wade in with there opinion when they actually have NO experience of these other products, fair enough stick with Gardiner poles, I have done until now and they work for me - they won’t let you down but if you’ve never tried anything else how can you whole heartedly say they are the best? I’m happy to say that I pay for all of my own equipment, I research everything I buy and test where I can, I have no interest in testing products for advertising or reward so my PERSONAL opinion is just that. This wasn’t meant to be a ranty post and hopefully it doesn’t come across as that as all of my posts are as constructive as I can muster!!
Spruce - the brush is an optional extra as far as I’m aware, as you know I brought mine at the show and got a few bits and bobs thrown in. Still using the brick that is the phantom DuPont!!!

I noticed you couldn’t select pencil jets or fan jets either - I have the pencil jets but fitted the Gardiner 100 degree fan jets as well. I find myself changing between the twi now depending on what property I’m cleaning

I totally get what you are saying and you didn't come across ranty, and it wasn't my intention to rile you up if I did at all.

It's also very good that you have given a decent informative review of the phantom pole after a decent amount of daily use and it would also be good for you to do an updated review in another 8-12 weeks time. As I like a pole that doesn't wear out and the Xtreme series 2 is still the best pole for me and I won't buy any other Gardiners poles due to not liking them so will be buying a bundle of spare sections to see me through due to the snapping sections which is why they are to been discontinued.
