facelift orbital

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I've never tried an ova8 but they do look very good. Personally I wouldn't buy another facelift pole. I'm not full time wfp as my round is a mix and I used a CLX for years with no problems. Thought I'd upgrade in about May/June last year to a carbon and I bought a phantom. I was on a job at the beginning of this year where I have to clean two windows and the pole is almost horizontal because of a huge porch on the house. I use a lightweight brush anyway so didn't think it would be problem. Started cleaning the windows and heard a cracking sound so took the pole off the window and collapsed it down. There were splits down 2 sections of the pole and cracking in the top where the pole insert/gooseneck sits. The pole is quite narrow and I found the carbon is quite thin (this is only the carbon, not the hi-mod). I am quite good at looking after my work stuff and not over extending the sections etc so I don't think it was anything like that. I bought an SLX and not only was it cheaper but I have used it twice on the same job since with no issues whatsoever.

I don't know. I really look after my work stuff. It was splits down the pole if you see what I mean, rather than snapping or anything. The brush I had on it was 170g I think. I liked that it was quite a slim pole, but not impressed obviously so wouldn't buy another. I have a smaller phantom traditional pole which is very good though. I read somewhere that oval poles are better for your grip so hopefully when you get the ova8 that will help your hands.
