Previously I was happy using a 5 tonne ratchet straps round the anchor points, until I removed the anchor points and saw how beefy they were...

Soon replaced with m16 high tensile bolts

Well there not made to hold 500kg plus of water there only tie down points for securing a load. Should all be using a frame thats tied to the chasis but we all have budgets.
