Gardiner swivel sockets

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Good afternoon.
Does anybody here use the Gardiner swivel sockets - either the straight or the 30⁰ one, like below please? They look very good.
I have a swivel gooseneck, that fits into the square quick lock brush socket, but have been tempted to try these so that the swivel is closer to the brush head.
Thank you.
Using a swivel and put in a correct angle it becomes very quick while ‘ horizontal rinsing ‘ keeping the brush verticaly. Keeping you arms more relaxed/ sweep from left to right. So I absolutely love them, but took some practice and experiencing with different types of swivels.

I think the ones the topicstarter shows in his message are not practical. These versions attach with screws to a brush. You can’t change brushes anymore.

I think the version with angle adapter in it where you can still switch between different types of brushes is the best. Also best using a short pole. One downside with this is a bigger distance between glass and point of swivel, so less control.
I’ve fixed this using it with a fixed 45 degree socket on the brush, now it gives much better manouverability. This way you can keep the angle adapter at zero or -10 degrees.
Try it!😄

(When I put a normal brush in it with a fixed zero degrees socket, I need to put the adapter back at 30-45 degree, but it will feel more difficult to manoeuvre.)

We do a lot of commercial but they are mainly residential blocks of flats, we also do about 4 days a month of residential and the 35cm, with a swivel attached, is fine. On the really thin windows, either twist and do top left to bottom right and then swivel it and do top right to bottom left or hold pole horizontal and do up and down. There are very few of these types of windows though.

Thanks mate. I like the look of the 35cm xtreme sill. Especially the dupont one. Just wondering if it might be a bit wide as I only do residential?
I mainly do residentials and have yet to find a window it wont do, sometimes you have to let the swivel rotate the brush to the vertical position.
The 35cm xtreme sills are great on most windows, I have both the dupont and flocked versions. I tend to use the flocked on 95% of regular windows. I then don't have to think are they leaded, painted frames etc. I also think flocked get rid of spiders webs on dark coloured grain finish frames better than the dupont.

That looks a good setup 👍. Gardiner do two types- one attached to the gooseneck directly so would be very long winded to change brush. But they also do one with a socket attached so you can change brush like normal.
