Help please. PPM shot up.

so I've just filled up my tank and my reading on the tds is over 100 out of the tap it's 65...in only use DI does that mean my resin as gone and needs changing

Even with a tap reading of 60ish once you have leathered your resin eventually it will be beyond useless and not block anything and also release all the previous crud it has blocked so can actually increase tour TDS.

This is why it is important to check TDS regularly and stay on top of it.

Yeah I test it most days as I'm quite new to working for myself..I was filling up for Monday and always test at weekend and it came out at that..luckily I've got a few drums full of pure to keep me going on monday and I can call and get some from Leeds..

I've just been told they only sell Unger resin..which is best? Or is it down to personal preference?

Getting an RO to filter the water pre DI will massively reduce the ammount of resin you go through.

I dont know which is best but I use the Tulsion stuff.

i take it your going to airforce outlane?,you can take your vessel there and they'll re-fill it for you,could be an option for you so your not splashing out on a full bag

Give the DI vessel a swirl every time you fill your tank. This helps spread the resin evenly round the vessel and helps stop channels forming.

Sounds like it. Give the di vessel a good shake and process the water as slowly as you can through it.
