You cannot calibrate the in line meter as you have to have the solution running. Pull the probe out and clean with vodka in case any contaminants are on the probe. Then ensure the probe is seated at the right angle otherwise will not give correct readings

Do both the probes have to face the water flow or one in front of the other?

 
On your probe you will see two notches either each end. These need to be in line with the water flow.

Vodka is the purest of all drinks so not much contaminants, unless it's moonshine made in Wales /emoticons/biggrin.png
