Hot water cracking glass

I've been caught short and peed on some snowy glass frames at 37 degrees but they didn't break but left some yellow snow. ?

I learnt that one from the gas instructor when we were discussing temperature of hot water. That gas course comes in handy now and then. Got 3 PW jobs this week and they are not bothered when I sand them seems like we will be busy with add-ons this year.

Perhaps my flow is too high would that increase the chances ? And I’m using ordinary jets 

Also I mostly rinse on the glass

Flow rate shouldn’t make a huge difference, we use 2 mm pencil jets and rinse off the glass
