So fedex came with my backpack, im never in during the day. I thought they would have left it, its a really safe house, just me and neighbour, or behind the wheely bins, no one walks down here. So what happens in these cases? I cant speak with anyone at fedex, tried my hardest, need an account to talk to a human, tried and it wouldnt let me/continue. Apparently they try 3 times and then just send it back to the shipper - gardiners. Thats just great aint it? Any ideas?

Oh hopefully should be ok, gardiners have emailed them to follow my instructions which was to leave it by the side/bins. Most people are not at home in the day so this must happen all the time.

didnt get a text, just their card saying they missed me and to download an app, I dont use a smartphone though. I'd already specified for them to leave it, as wouldnt be in. Hopefully gardiners contact with them will re-iterate this. Hope it dont get flung about too much in the meantime.

Unfortunately everything in this world now requires a smart phone / computer and an email address!!!! I haven’t ever had a problem, I think it’s logged with Gardiner’s to leave all delivery’s in the garage

The delivery driver just phones me to double check where to leave it, I think my phone number is on the label.

I don't think Gardiners have an option now about a safe place and I'm pretty sure Gardiners put a big label on packages not to leave them.

Dont get me wrong, I know there are many addresses parcels would be nicked in minutes if left out , but ive moved to this little village now, plus behind the wheelies no one would see it. Ironic today was the one time every 2 months I was working in my home village so a quick call I couldv nipped down, but I appreciate they're busy.
