I would feel safe doing the way I'm talking about if the ladder sat right and not too high

Not sure if it would be allowed in their eyes though

Yep I think I will get a tower it's the safest way plus i can manoeuvre it along and get the job done properly and safely [emoji106]

Do the job next week kids are off school. Send some 13 year old up the ladder with a rope round his leg so he don't get away. It was good enough for the Victorians when our country was great.

I need to clear the gutter and clean the glass what do you think will be the best and safest way to do it ?

Looks like there's a bunch of fivers in that gutter. Get in quick Neil /emoticons/biggrin.png

If you erect a tower yourself you need the PASMA ticket, if someone puts it up for you and strikes it then you don't need it [emoji106] so my mate who owns a scaffold firm will put a tower up on wheels for me to work off [emoji106] all I have to do now is put a quote in [emoji106]

Well i think if im using it personally i have a more than valid argument as to why would i trust my safety to anoyne else? It is afterall my safety and responsibility.

If H&S thought as I ther would be a lot less claim blame going on.

@Neil whats your qualified source to say tou need a PASMA cert. Since this topic started i have read plenty in orher forums saying ther is no legal requirement for one (however PASMA) course sellers will have you think different.

As previously said, use the ladder to clean the glass and use a pressure washer to clear the gully, looking at the width of the gully, you could walk down it if need be.

Nice to see you do a professional job with the right gear @Neil instead of looking like another cowboy! Get those pics on your Facebook and website so people know you're serious about doing it right!
Cheers green appreciate it [emoji1303] I've had another window cleaner saying I should've used a ladder and it was an overkill using a tower, the thing is this structure was shaking on the first piece of glass I started cleaning so I had to put less pressure on the glass cleaning it, this job took us 3 half hours to clear the valley in the middle and clean glass on top and underneath. I want to do things properly and not stand on a ladder for 3 half hours, it's all about being safe in our job.
