I use vinegar and a drip of ecover get hundreds of little droplets that dry very quickly and leave window clean and shiney

The problem is with rinsing as the water completely misses some bits of the glass so don't take the dirt offIf windows hate water then wont they dry quicker so less chance of getting dust on them before drying
And if you look at them when they are dry you might see that the glass looks water stained.So far I've had no problems on hydrophobic but it was just 1 particular set of windows..was like it was allergic to water
