Called back to first job of the day. First/builders clean outside only. Series of messages there still really dirty. Went back two tiny little spots of silicone missed, out of 16 windows and a huge run of folding doors. All dirt on insides which are filthy. Talked to husband about tone of wife's messages. Then got two in a row who went from two monthly to every month last clean. Sorry can we go back to every other. Next customer oh but you use the pole system. Yes but as you didn't complain, I assume all was fine. Oh yes but you leave the sills wet. Asked her outright if she dries them after rain. (surprised I kept the job). I have had two next door to each other both pay previous window cleaner. Had to argue more than I like to convince one to even check. An to top it all one women said all her windows were left spotty last time. When asked why she didn't ring. She tried to tell me she called the company her jobs subed of. When told this is the first I had heard of it. Asked if I was calling her a lier. I'd had it by then so told her yes I was. Well she said I will see how they dry. If I'm not happy I won't be paying for the last clean just this one. . She then had the nerve to come back out an ask if I would clean five skylights. Told her no. Not prepared to do work I might not get paid for. Rang sub company told him if she don't cancel me she's gone anyway.

Roll on next week, my favourite village days of no one home. Spiced by occasional lovely regular cupa cake an chat customers

I got one the other day while working on the street, bit rough looking lad walking past.

Him: "what do you charge for Windows mate?".

Me:"What kind of house is it?"

Him: "like that one you're doin"

Me : "hmmm,o.k., whereabouts do you live"

Him: " I'm not telling you!"

Me : " well I'm not giving you a bleeding price then !"

I despair sometimes, but did chuckle to myself later. At least it's not just me who gets 'em!. Lol.

It's people's attitude that gets me. I have no issue ever with someone if they wanna cancel or have an issue it can always be worked out or someone who cancels can be replaced. I had a message Monday morning simply saying. "Don't need you this month Chris, thanks" . The attitude got under my skin they may not need me but I still need to pay my mortgage. Normally if someone skips a month I have no issue unless it keeps happening but her attitude got me so I sent the full works about how i run a proffessional regular service and I need respect between me and customer that I won't just text and say I'm not cleaning you this month.that's her binned off anyway.

Culled another two yesterday one said I ring you when they need doing and her neighbour that's a messer also.

Had a good clear out the last approx 4 weeks culled around 12 and had two people suspend their selves until further notice one lost job the other sold their house but will be in touch as soon as they purchased another which is handy as they are hoping to buy in a villiage where I only have 5 jobs but good jobs.

Just when you think you have a settled round people start messing you about and not paying etc. Constant headache is this game. There's always one
