While it seems a good idea I'm not sure how well a 3Kw immersion heater element will run on partial power. That said it is made by Spring so I guess they have done some good testing and achieved good results.

I couldn't clean with cold because I have been spoiled having hot water. When I come up against ingrained marks then I spray with hot water for 10 seconds and move to another window. At the end I go back and wash the windows because I find the mark or spider stuff comes off alot easier.
