A very small amount would dilute, ive found.
hi pane, welcome to the world of additives, yes that subject that causes a lot of greif amongst the die hard old school cleaners, but for say a 350 tank i'd be popping at least a 100ml in the night before this is not for the stopping water freezer thing but just for the cleaning ability,

Probably a stupid question but doesn’t it evaporate?

The younger generation don’t know what they missed out on
Re spooling a chewed up cassette tape as you recorded it yourself and don’t want to lose it
Cassette tapes! The heat in summer with the car stood in the African sun used to cause the tape to stretch and leave a residue on the reading heads. The 'rubber' drive wheels would also get 'sticky' which the tape would stick to and wind up a mess inside the radio. Sometimes we could save the tape if we caught it in time, but sometimes we would have to cut the damaged part out and stick the tape together using a special repair tape we could buy. I've forgotten what they called it.

So between the singer slowing down because of the stretched tape and then bits missing, we just got on with it. Cassettes were much better than the old 8 tacks that we started off with that preceded cassettes. I can remember how stoked I was when I fitted my first cassette player in my car. Must have been the late 1960s. It was the best day ever in my young life.

I’ve got the plank on dvd
Tommy cooper was a legend anyway
Mick miller doing the alcoholic radio presenter doing the noddy show is excellent

Every year this subject comes up. What I would call boardering on a scam text/email is sent out by a supplier to window cleaners on his data base to draw an unsuspecting windie in.

Have a look at the first block where Isoprop is used as an anti-freeze in water and the %'s required to achieve this.

Isopropanol (2-Propanol) based Freeze Protected Water Solutions

If you want to protect your full tank of water to -4 degrees then you would need 10% Isoprop to 90% water. But again, what is the temp of the water in your tank at any given time in winter?

We don't live in the polar regions of the frozen north. I once tested the temperature of the water in my tank over a weekend in winter. I still had a good amount of water in my 650 liter tank when I finished on Friday. The tank was covered by an old duvet and I had an 800w frostat heater in the back set to come on at 2 degrees C. It switches off at 5 degrees C. The temperature of the water in the tank on Saturday afternoon was 9 degrees C.

Moving water freezes at a lower temperature as when water moves it generates a little heat. Its to do with the amount of kenetic energy in the moving/flowing water. The water in our tanks sloshes around as we drive so this could add to a little warmth being generated in the water and raising the temperature a degree or 2. (I have never tested this).

So if add a cap full of Isoprop to my tank in the middle of winter on the belief that it will solve my freezing concerns then I will be elated with what I perceive to be as excellent results.

Got an email last night from a supplier for window cleaning who may well have a warehouse, saying that a litre of isopropanol per 600 litres would stop freezing down to -3. So does everyone think this is incorrect?

Pure alcohol freezes at -114.7 deg C. Surely a 1:600 mix would be so weak it wouldn't really have a measurable effect? At 5% isopropyl (30 litres) you might be protected down to -3 deg C from what I can find out that is.
Just found this calculator: Alcohol Percentage to Freezing Point Calculator | shotgundentist it's actually for alcoholic drinks but same principal.
As you might guess, I'm at home due to snow first thing then 40mph winds and rain so I'm staying warm indoors and cutting some new van signage.
