Seriously considering buying a gutter vac as I have passed up lots of work lately due to not being able to get to certain bits. Does anyone have any experience with Kiam?

Does this kit look good? Is there anything in particular I need to consider in a gutter vac?

You can buy a titan 1500w vac from screwfix for £80 and the poles from kiam for £240
Give it a go as it will handle most jobs
Then upgrade to a bigger vac
I have a 3000w also but rarely need to use it
Just need to buy 5m of 50mm pond hose for £20 off Amazon (can send a link) and you will be gutter vaccing for 300 quid
The hose fits snug in the vac and over the poles so no need for fittings either but you will get them with the poles

Website is equip2clean and is basically kiam in the uk
The aluminium poles are actually quite light but then I’m 6’2” and about 16 stone so not an issue for me
No fat though lol I’ve worked off my beer belly but do play rugby

Nice one gents, some useful info there. The side entry I’ve read about but this confirms that this will be something I need to consider as I want to get it right first time.

Part timer; what diameter hose do you think I need?

Could you send me a link to the hose please

What about this one? Comes with side entry and hose is 51mms. A little more pricey but like I said, I want to get the right kit first time.

Yet another question!…… I will be doing mainly domestic jobs and cleaning 2 and 3 storey buildings; I assume for the latter height I will need the 40’ pole kit?

If you are going to spend that kind of money you would be better looking at GVS vacs @GVS Julia Martin there stuff is good and not to expensive, if funds allow look at Skyvac

30 foot should do most houses , 40 feet will be more than enough 40 feet will do this in the picture

Have you looked at GVS (Gutter Vacuum Systems) as they do the GVS3600 triple motor with 71mm side inlet at similar prices, although they are out of stock at moment.
@GVS Julia Martin and co are able to offer great service.
