Good thread, i've been looking for a new pole and the 27clx looks like a great all rounder!

If i ever need another pole i wont go for the SLX again... ill go for the CLX /emoticons/tongue.png SLX has been great for me... but the CLX is still a good pole and i will be going for the CLX next maybe in a year or 2 /emoticons/tongue.png

Why H would you not go for a slx again it is better than the clx ?

Cos CLX Is a good pole aswell.. does the same job..... all gardiners poles are good /emoticons/smile.png

Clx are more bendy... and i think its better like that

Hmm I get ideas when I'm browsing in the middle of the night lol. I'm tempted to go out and buy a 10-12m fishing pole and make a diy wfp just to see if I like it. What I can tell from reading up on them they're incredibly light but strong and rigid too and it's the weight I need to get down as low as I can being a shrimp.

I know theres a good few wfp guys have done this so if anyone has, what are your thoughts?
