moeman blade

Bought a 10inch blade last week , tried it out on Friday , bladed like a donkey. The tips curved the rubber too much , lines all over the place , nearly chucked it in the bin .

Today I straightened them with boiling water ,now blades perfect. Anyone else had the same problem?

Tried it , hated it , so ive just mounted the "fliq pad " on a regular Channel ...

No. Never. From day one of the V1 clips, 2 to 3 straight passes to dial in the rubber to glass angle and life is good and has been for well over a year on ALL length channels.

@Natty1972 I'm using hard moerman rubber in mine at moment..more fairy on glass though. Working well it is.

I found corners of my soft rubber getting destroyed ultra fast. Hard is as easy to use i find but harder wearing

@Chris33 - how do you find hard rubber in the cold mate? Always stuck to soft as Scottish summers rarely get above 10°C

@Hawke it's all I'm using at moment matey and no issue at all. They are lasting longer too..I get on fine with moerman stuff but the soft doesn't last me long

What handle did you put it in, this makes a difference?

I tried the excelerater , thought it was too big , so I tried the unger tec , works brill for me it's work better .

My son likes the excelerater handle ..... he's just started using it today .

I use hard rubber on my ungar now much better and have done since cold weather hit, I'm gonna buy one of these tho

The rubber has gone after three days , going to try unger next week.

@Natty1972 moerman hard is lasting me way longer than that soft. Infact polz n blades says it's a similar toughness to ettore soft..so you can imagine how soft the moerman soft has been in comparison

Tried under soft, lasted a little longer , Christ the plastic ends are tough on the rubber .ive order some razor red . See if that last longer!

The soft rubbers are fine on new Alu or well maintained PVC frames as long as you're using it AKA PolznBladz with precision but if you're running the edges up and down perished rubber seals and wooden frames they get shredded in short order. BD Hard, Unger HARD, Moerman Hard and all have slightly better slip than Razer Red BUT the red gives you the longevity on less than pristine frames.

What are you doing with them?

If i was tradding bottoms all week i would still not change my moerman soft for a couple of weeks even with my wooden framed jobs..it's like Eric said you need to be precise with it..

I cut the rubber like on the video from polz. Just blade as normal...

once you're slightly adjusted you technique it's a a brilliant bit of kit .

That's the aim , to find the quickest, best way of getting my work done without cutting corners. The Moeman blade is part of the jigsaw now (once I get the rubber sorted ) ...
