I have worked with this unit at 45ft with no issues. The pumps are capable of doing this with no harm to the units.

I have also worked with this unit at 65ft....but only after using a lift to get to the Penthouse before using it with a ground floor pole!/emoticons/tongue.png

60ft shouldn't be an issue. It definitely isn't a problem on our current model. Not had any reports of pump issues with extended use at that height. That may be because when cleaning at that height for sometime you would usually have a van mount/trolley system, it would be easier without refilling constantly. Saying that, we have had a couple of customers cleaning 5 stories up inside courtyards so they didn't have to drag hoses through a busy office. They were just using our backpacks and doing a great job!

I'm looking at buying a backpack, I have one £20 customer where I see it being a necessity, and in 7 cleans I've paid it off if it is about 140quid

Yes. Loads of straps available!

To be honest, I would advise using the handle to transport it as oppose to strapping on your back. Looking up with 18ltrs of water on your back to do high pole work can be interesting!!

lol i know i've already overbalanced while standing on a grassy slope, slid down on my back on top of backback & over a 2ft wall must of been sooo funny but no one about thankfully. but if i had a van mount i'd trip over the hose all the time

^ I need to buy one but would never wear one.

I need one for a customer who's house I need to walk through, and although she insists a trolley is ok, I do not want to damage anything and cause a claim, and a backpack at £140 is better than a claim with excesses and possible legal costs.

I personally have used a WCW Backpack, and I was impressed with it compared to a Shurflo backpack, which was cumbersome and awkward.

My main problem with it was it was uncomfortable to wear, but they all are. and the lid was awful!!!!

Trully awful, it wouldn't screw on so you ended up having to BASH it on then unscrew it off.... bizarre.

And the circuitry would constantly get wet regardless and you'd have to dry it out or what not.

I have never bought anything from Gardiners but have used their equipment before, and to be honest I can see myself wanting their backpack already.

If Alex did me a deal on a slx-25 and a backpack I'd be more convinced aswell /emoticons/tongue.png

Interesting debate about the 2 backpacks!

I currently use the Blue WCW one...had it a year now & think it's better & half the price of a shurflo one. The variable speed controller is a bit **** tho...had to replace it about 3 times.

Are the components in the new backpack the same chinese ones as in the blue backpack?

I'd be tempted to try the new one, especially at £95+vat. But why is this one cheaper than the blue one I have to ask myself???

Has same features...so I worry it could be lesser quality??

Come on Alex G !!!

Is the new-£95 backpack **** Chinese parts-ooopps!,lesser quality components than the blue B/pack???
