HI THWC Yes the V16C works with Euro6.

The V16 Charger is one option when looking at charging a system leisure battery. http://springltd.co/v16-c-manual

This is a full pump controller with a Battery charger built in. It uses an intelligent relay to manage charging.

On engine start the alternator volts rise above 13V and the relay closes to start charging while your driving between jobs. Charge rate can be up to 10 amp per hour (note the actual charge rate will depend on the time the engine is running and battery condition)

Once the engine is switched off volts fall and after a short delay the relay opens and charging stops

V16C will also display both the system and vehicle battery voltages

Will it work with Euro6 ?

Euro6 has been on all vehicles since 2015 and our charger controllers work well. We have also tested the Charger with Euro6 rated vehicles.

V16 works differently to most standard VSR chargers. With standard VSR chargers as the Alternator voltage varies they stop charging and as Volts do not peak above 13V again it does not restart.

V16C pauses charging while the volts vary during braking or acceleration so the relay remains closed and the Alternator detects the load requirement of both batteries. This means that as Alternator volts rise charging continues until the engine is switched Off.

To date we have seen very few issues with the V16C or the earlier V11C since Euro6 was introduced in 2015.

In some cases a Battery to Battery charging system may be more suitable for some new vehicles.
