Pole around 50 and 60 feet to choose.

Help Support WCF:

Hello Pjj,

Which other poles did you use at that height ?

I'm hesitating between a "Gardiner Ultimate 74", the "SimPole Simsky 66" and the "Ova 8 Ultra Modulus 65" actually.

For the moment, i use the Reach-it mini + ABB extensions but it's bending too much when I want to clean solar panels from the floor and it's also quite heavy.

The reason why I want to invest in a high pole is mainly for cleaning solar panels from the floor.

Thanks in advance for your feedback and your help in my decision.
We use the ultimate at 46 feet for solar on houses dont use the top section of the pole and this will stiffen it up no end and with a 10 inch carbon goose neck won’t hit the gutters ,

Thank you very much to everybody for your nice help !

I decided myself and I will invest in a Gardiner Ultimate 63.

If one day, I need to go higher or further, I can still extend it to 74 feet with the extension.

Thanks for the tip with a 10 inch carbon gooseneck to clean solar panels on houses without hitting the gutters but with this kind of carbon goosenecks, you cannot choose and adjust the angle of your brush on the panel...

These carbon goosenecks are available in :

45° : https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/goosenecks-pole-fittings/super-lite-carbon-fibre-alloy-goosenecks-fittings/quick-loq-carbon-gooseneck-10-25cm-45a.html

Then my question is : a plastic gooseneck with angle adapter wouldn't be better to be sure to get the right and precise angle for the brush on the solar panel ?

Like this : https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/goosenecks-pole-fittings/plastic-gooseneck-system/quick-loq-resi-neck-type1-long-swivel-new.html

I also see that it exists a special gooseneck for solar panels at 70° but it's in alloy and not in carbon :

Thanks a lot for your help !

Hi Gilles

You are correct that you cannot adjust the carbon goosenecks - the plastic Long Angle Adapter should be a suitable adjustable option for your needs - It will perhaps allow you to best match the angle of the pole to the solar panel surface. If it is not quite deep enough then you can always add a Quick-LoQ Extender on the end.

The alloy 70° gooseneck for solar panels is designed for low level solar panel cleaning on a short pole for cleaning solar panel farms.
