Pricing domestic houses

WCF

Help Support WCF:

@Pjj I am guessing that as your standard domestic houses aren't that much more highly priced than mine up north that a property of the size in the photo you put up would be considerably more expensive down Cornwall then up here so therefore the price the client is willing to accept and be happy to pay is a lot more,

I would have said £30 as I do a similar sized property with a similar amount of work involved, which takes around the same time of 50 minutes although that also includes faffing about with the dogs and the pygmy goats, and I would also guess that those windows above the extension will be a bit of chore to do as well at that angle and distance needed to stand back far enough to see and clean the whole of the middle window more so.

id be around £30, £1.25 a window or £2.50 if large.... thought I was high end prices until reading Pjj comment
I agree, and I cant see it taking more than half hour either, so £30 for half hour, plenty good enough.

You better move down hear and come and help us out ???.  I’ll pay you £25 for doing it and Ime still making £60
Blimey, are they all loaded over there?I doubt I'd get over £40, but I guess thats the joy when you've got full books, charge high and if they say no doesnt matter.

(it merged it into one message which is confusing as I meant one for first house, and next for the second house)

Actually I'll answer that myself. Good friend of mine moved over to plymouth, Housing association swap to devonport and she was near poor as a church mouse. Couldnt see them paying high on her old estate.

Yes Ime guessing you are right , a typical estate 3 bed semi is £10-12 people won’t generally pay any more , if however it has a conservatory it’s between £15-20 , although prices are low ( I think ) we do have loads of them close together and often don’t move the van more than a few hundred yards a day .

The bigger houses like in the picture and we also have a lot of them are from £40-150 a go ,all 4 weekly , again I don’t get all I quote but we don’t need any more work the only reason I keep the website going is to attract commercial work , but I find a lot of people look on there and think if they can do that 8 storey hotel they can do my 3 storey Manor House etc , these days I turn down a lot of work as we are too busy and Ime wanting to do less work not more , within the next couple of years Ime looking to go back to just the one van hopefully ??.

The windows above the extension arnt to bad you can just about do them with a 25 foot pole , again this is a costal property and winter time or when stormy it’s lagged with salt as the crow flies it’s only 400 meters from the sea .

As long as you keep me in digs and drink it's a deal

Lol that’s the profits from that job gone then ?????

From what most on hear claim a 3 bed semi should be £12-18 depending where you are so the place in the picture that is three storey that automatically puts up the price with me there is a lot of windows Ime assuming that the windows that stick out also have glass on the sides as well ?. I don’t think £50 + is expensive , we don’t do anything like the one in the pictures but I wouldn’t want to do it for anything less preferably more

out of interest what would you charge for this ?? There are a further 10 windows on the front that arnt in the pictures it takes one person 50 muinits to do .

id count it as roughly 40 windows so £50, with the bars/sash id chuck on a little extra so £60
