I have a mate who is an area manager for a national hotel chain and he has said he might be able to get me as the WC in his area. The way his company works though means he cant see what they pay presently. I know they use an international cleaning contractor (forget the name) who subcontracts out the windows at present.

The windows are only done once a year and never look clean and is apparently the biggest company bug bear so I suggested that if they were done quarterly they would actually look clean and because they would be more of a maintenance clean than a annual it would be quicker and easier to do - therefore could charge less per visit, albeit more over the year (but the hotel actually has clean windows!)

My question is though how much do people charge for this sort of commercial work? If the hotel had say 100 rooms, that would be 100 metre sq windows, plus say a reception area with floor to ceiling windows etc. (Before you ask I have no idea how long that would take to do it on a day rate but it would be similar to a days work of 10 houses of 10 windows at say £12 each so £120 for a whole hotel which seems low??? I can imagine that cleaning a whole hotel would be a back killer so not sure what sort of price to put in.

***** you really need to show some pics to price it right

it could be a right pain

we had guy just couple of days ago pricing old folks home, massive job, i,m sure it was going to take couple of days

haven't been to see one yet, when I do ill get the pics. I know that some are 2 storey and some are 5 storey. The attraction is that it would be a number of hotels within about a 50 mile radius so could be a nice bonus if I can land them at the right price.
