Pump isn't sucking water

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Inside the pump section is a tiny plate and hair spring. This is a non return valve. The pump sucks water in the first phase and then pushes that water in the second phase. If that plate and or hairspring is missing then the water is going to take the path of least resistance.

The diaphragm in those pumps last for a long time unless its been damaged by frost or chemicals. I have 2 pumps on the van, the first is 11 years old and the second 10 years old. There are lots of other cleaners who have also had them for many years, some longer than I've had mine.

OOI, are you Pikeman on the other forum?

No not pike man.

Maybe it is cold, don't know,  but the old pump works with water dipped right in the inlet but not with hose just can't suck the water through  the 2metre hose for some reason. The new pump I bought does.
