That's cool but how long would it last you I use around 1000 1200 a week ....it's kind of a love hate solution in it because as windys we don't want rainy days then on the other hand your like yeah's my tanks are filling

Been looking at some pumps to transfer water from an ibc and they all seem to use 1 inch hose, what do i need to reduce this to if it was to go through a di vessel.

I would def get an onboard DI tank , far easier . Just place the tank before the reel .

The reason for this is , that pump you use to get it from tank to Van is probably way too powerful to use to get water through a DI tank without spoiling the resin. It must run at a much lower pace to be able to get the resin to perform correctly and last longer . If running too fast you Will exaust it Quick and tds runs higher , as it simply cant keep up with a standard submersible pump flow .(mine is 63 ltr. A minute / Way too much for DI ) For that purpose the pump for wfp is just correct . Are you vanmount ?

I haven't got anything set up yet just seeing what i would need to use rainwater. Im likely to get a trolley so probably need the di between rainwater tank and 25 litre containers. Just don't know how to pump it out to the jugs and through the di.

Then go for a pump that runs very slow , Guesssing max 4-5 liters a minute.

Will it be able to do it just from the tank tap and through the di. As it will only be fill 25 litre containers and not go over a long distance to a van?

Saw this at our local allotments , not a bad set up for collecting.

I'd be quite keen to give this a try, we have a garage roof, conservatory and bungalow roof to make better use of, plus these ibc containers are pretty.

would need to strip the garage roof of moss but it's  pretty clean elsewhere. I wonder however how long a tank this size would last for the typical windy? Be worth getting containers in regardless for the free water storage for the garden with summer coming....... soon please soon!
