Rainwater harvesting

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I'm only looking for rough answers here guys but with a night of quite heavy rain. How much water roughly can you collect from one side of a roof ( 2 bed house) I'm just not sure wether it's worth setting it up or not . Cheers

I find sometimes when it's hammering it down I think to myself "gona have a couple of full butt if this continues" and then I arrive to see hardly a quarter of water in there! So it can be hit and miss sometimes. But I would still recommend it to anyone wanting to make a little saving, and definitely if your in a hard water area. I currently use 25l barrels and save 10-20p per barrel when I filter rainwater. Oh and I do it off a two bed ground floor extension.::):
