If it has one already how has the resin got into the pump ?

Has the tank got lots of resin in it? Seems strange for resin to get past inline filter. Have you checked the mesh filter?-

Did you recently change your resin in the DI and plug it back in backwards?

If you have resin in your tank, because you have your Di the wrong way, then obviously correct the Di and swill your tank out

Bump up on a kerb and disconnect the pipe and swill out with hose pipe, or as advised vac it out

Even if the tank has resin in it this won’t go into the pump if there is a filter between tank outlet and the pump , this post doesn’t make any sense

Get rid of your di vessel in your van and full your tank with pure water instead of tap water
Install a 5 micron filter housing after the tank
