RO System Recommendation

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Try taking a reading after its been producing water for half hour as the tds will always be higher just after its been on flush. Also you could try adjusting your pure to waste ratio I run a 4021 ro which is half the size of yours. With a mains pressure of 60 psi my pure to waste is 50/50. Have a chat with doug@Daqua I'm sure he sells pumps. Could just need to be flushed for a bit longer. As far as temperature I don't think heating the box will help that much its more to do with the temperature of the water from the mains.

After flushing for 2 hours I'm getting a TDS of 30 out of the RO, with the input being 300, therefore a 90% rejection rate. My understanding is I can improve this by increasing my psi with a pump. I believe temperature effects the efficiency too, so would operating a heater inside the box result in an improved rate?

I guess I need to know would the cost of a pump for a better rejection rate save me money long term over the cost of resin, as the resin would last longer?

Odd that as when it was tested was getting a 96% rejection rate at 30 psi then when boosted 98%.

Have you set the waste to 55/60 %.

Also what TDS meter are you using as may be giving wrong readings.
