Roof biocide.. Spray or brush??

Hi all

Was wondering what people's views and opinions are with regards to spraying or brushing on biocide/hypo on a roof clean.
I like how the brush produces a foam but seems to use a lot more than if applied by spray nozzle.

Spray nozzle tends to get good coverage but no foam.

Thoughts?

We generally spray them but it can be applied through a brush just fine the reason it foams up when brushing is due to agitation .

Thanks Paul, I've done both numerous times, just interested in other opinion on the matter.
I have found they produce the same result but spraying uses less bio ?
