What 60 new customers a month?

To be more specific I would say 60 inquiries per month on average.

What you need to bear in mind though is

10 of those are time wasters wanting a £4 clean

10 of those are jobs I wouldn't touch for varied reasons.

10 of those will be a little bit too far off my patch so will get passed along to other lads I know.

So all told about 30 viable jobs.

Also bear in mind I advertise through:

Web sites

Facebook

Leaflet Drops

Varied local magazines

Sign written van

Canvassing

And also word of mouth

This does not happen overnight this happens over ten years of relentless graft.

You will get there too but not right away.

Agree with green. Year two onward (and I can only speak for myself and my position in time) you will likely start seeing more enquiries coming in that you didn't so much create yourself IE

website

word of mouth

Visibility/local presence

That assumes you done some damage in year one of couse!

Appreciate all the information green and Chris

I normally hammer facebook.

Did set up a free website. Think I need to pay for one though so easier to find on the internet

And I'm going walk about doing leaflet drops and knocking on doors see what happens with that

If you've already got a domain name you can use Google Sites to create a free website. You'll also need to register for Google Webmaster Tools (again free) as that is the best way to submit your site to Google using their fetch tool. Also register for Google My Business (free) and link back to your site. That should give you some good local exposure and all for free. Just one last thing add your domain to your Facebook page in the about section.
