Received an email from Spotless Water, they sell Pure water at 3.6p a litre.

That's £36 (1000 litres) which might be ok for England or folk on a water meter

but no use in Scotland. Scottish water is owned by Scottish Gov so I don't think

they could just tap in to our main without permission. Because we don't have

water meters then I don't think it would be worth their while trying to open up

in Scotland. Thank goodness our water service is not privatized.

They will be on a commercial water rate and some people can't produce pure so will need to buy it in. Can you imagine living on the 7th floor of a block of flats trying to make pure and then get it to the van.

If I lived on the 7th floor I would permanently fit a 1000 litre Ibc tank in the lift. Job done[emoji98]

They don't have any Scottish sites at the moment. If they reduced the price to 1p a litre then it would be beneficial for windies to fill-up. At 3.6p a litre then it's too expensive unless on a water meter. I was down at Rotherham training centre and a guy was training as a plumber. He was telling me that the Gov wants every household on a water meter eventually. That's when Spotless would be worth investing in.

I'm on a water meter and at 3.6p it's still cheaper to make your own.

The price at these filling stations is starting to vary one has just been fitted in my town and the price is 4.8p I believe hemel is nearly 6p (5p +vat).

The only reason any one would use spotless is in an emergency, they are renting or living in a flat.

I’m filling up at a spotless right now. Very handy if you work around the country. I wish there were more.
