I used 13ppm once. Not through choice, I bought the water in a emergency off a guy who harvested rain and his pump through d.i set up wasn’t great at the time.

I was still in my first year so thinking I couldn’t use, but he said you’ll be fine just double rinse & check it.

I was super paranoid doing every job that day, but checking any the end of each job (thankfully a really hot & sunny day so some windows were completely dry in 5 minutes) they all were perfect. So by the afternoon I was just rinsing like normal and just giving a quick check.

But I wouldn’t use 13ppm through choice again. Just for peace of mind plus we advertise ‘completely purified water’

But personally if your ppm is under let’s say 7/8ppm then it isn’t the problem. It’s technique and the odd rubber seal that’s not compatible with wfp.

A lad I know was apparently using water in the high twenties for at least a couple of weeks before he checked His on board ro system again. He never had any complaints so he says

If they weren't spotting then now they are you are either not rinsing enough or your water isn't pure enough.
I dont believe that's true to be honest. Ive scrubbed frames to within an inch of there life rinsed and rinsed and rinsed and some windows still leaves drip marks. I think some windows just aint suitable for wfp and even now on the right day in direct sunlight some windows leave marks that you wouldnt normally see if the suns not directly on the window. i just think sometimes we think were doing a brilliant job but i guarantee we aint.

I'm sure there is always going to be the odd mark and spot here and there. I would say that the level of service you provide its probably down to whats acceptable by the customer.

We found a few new customers went to great lengths to check the quality of our cleans to begin with, especially if they were dubious of our cleaning system. As time has gone on they begin to trust that we will do a job to their standard of acceptance. My personal goal is to strive to exceed those expectations by enough of a margin that will make the customer happy but will also make commercial sense for me providing that service.

I don't want to be slowly pushing the boundaries lower and lower over time of what an acceptable clean is.

I personally think that a lot a this is a multitiered topic. I think we could get away with a lot more in winter than we can in summer, especially when most of our customers leave for work in the dark and come home in the dark in winter.

It also depends on what level of service some cleaners believe they can get away with.

For me its all about looking after my reputation. Each window we clean is our advertising board and most of the work we have has come from customer recommendations. I can't afford to jeopardize that. If I make a mistake and have on an odd occassion missed a window accidently, then I will put that right asap.
You sound just like me ?
