I'd have thought they would have, out of interest what is your tap tds?
Also just noticed how your tank is fitted did PF fabricate those bars around the tank and how are they fitted, just curious

I did check my tap tds last night but have forgot I’ll check again , what does fabricate mean? Sorry I’m a women and new to all this lol the tank is fitted on a steel frame

Fabricate = make up; weld components together.

188ppm means you have to have an r/o to filter or remove most of those dissolved solids before the di vessel. Your resin won't last 5 minutes with that tap water tds.

You have a delivery system. This means you still have to purify your water first.

A 4040 r/o for example will remove 97 to 98% of those 188ppm, leaving your resin just a small amount of work to do.

Oh god I checked my areas water and said it was soft before I ordered , I may neeed to find somewhere to fill up with water rather than my house you can do that can’t you

One way @Jesse234 is to use Spotless. But their water stations aren't always local to everyone. You could also find a local window cleaner who will sell you water, but you need to check that you are being sold proper purified water.

But it is cheaper and more convenient to purify water at home if you can. This is why we recommend that the very first purchase is a tds meter. This will give you a purchase direction. If you are in a soft water area, then di alone is OK. But your water is too hard to economically use di only.

You need an RO plus storage tank and sub pump unfortunately, any questions ask away and we'll all help

Ask first buy 2nd!!!
It’s my fault as I used post code checked to check if I was soft water area and it said I was , my bad. Could I add the RO to my tank now it’s fitted or not? Can I still use it to purify water with only the DI, it’s running at 000 now, when you say the resin won’t last 2 minutes how long do you actually mean

Can I fill my tank with pure water even though I have the resin filter will it not effect it ? Also where’s the best to buy resin since I’m going to be using a lot

It looks like the DI holder is a PF fabrication but the tank appears to be bolted down via the black frame on the floor.

Yes you can fill with pure from the likes of Spotless water. Your resin will not be used very much if at all if you are passing 000tds through it.
As for resin search for Tulson 115 resin as it seems to be the one most people use.
As for you looking at your water hardness via postcode - that would give you a guide but that system is more built for householders wanting to know if their kettle will scale up.
Now you have realised that with a tds of180 you need to process your tap water before it gets to the DI vessels you are in the right place to find a solution.

First thing have a search for Spotless water and see how far their nearest site is to you. If it's close no problems but being able to produce your own pure is cheaper.
Second thing and it's tricky, how much pure do you think you will use a day as that impacts the size of your RO? i.e. 1 tankful a day or 1 every couple of days - I would plan on filling the tank each day for when you get busy.

Do you have anywhere that you could store pure, garage , shed etc? Do you have a water supply near your storage area? Do you know what water pressure you have (Screwfix sell a pressure gauge that fits most outdoor taps) as this will tell you if you need a booster pump or not?

Hope that helps? If not let us know, welcome to the forum by the way - best place for friendly advice.

Hi thanks for the reply :) there is a spotless water 10 mins from my home just checked , I know that seems the easy method but I’ve paid quite a lot for my tank so was hoping to come up with a solution to use my home water , can I add the filter needed to my tank now it’s fitted or not? Id say a tank every 2 days not to sure as of yet , I just want to keep the cost down as low as I can as I’ve already spent up on my tank

There will definitely be a way, there should be fitted threaded points on your tank to attach a membrane housing to, don't ask window cleaning warehouse,

Phone daqua.co.uk and speak to @doug atkinson he will sell you a far better membrane than wcw will you'll need to find out what membrane housing bracket you need and the size of the bolts to go into the pre fitted holes

Resin is expensive. My suggestion is to get an r/o asap. 25 litre bag of Tulsion mb115 from Daqua is my choice.

It looks like you have a 2 person delivery tank. My advice is a 4040, a second hand 1000 litre ibc tank, some transfer hose and a submersible pump. Preferably a garage to store the system in.
You will need water and a nearby drain.

But as @ched999uk says, good to test your house water pressure first.

Wfp window cleaning is a huge initial investment.

It will depend on how big those Di vessels are you might get 2-3 full tanks but you'll have to monitor the tds as you're filling up as you don't want a full tank of water at 020ppm and have to dump it.

Daqua.co.uk is your best place for resin
