Enhanced CRB (DBS) Check

Does anyone know how I go about getting my CRB check?

I have one for window cleaning which was done through a care home but I need one for cleaning but don't know how to go about getting it done

Last time I had one done I just got the forms from the police station.

From what I read, you can't get anything other than a basic check done on yourself. For a standard or an enhanced, your customer would have to apply, but can only do so if they're entitled to do so. A care home would be.
