is it easily done? many times iv looked at pvc georgians and wondered how easy is it to tweak out the bars, clean window glass ,then refit bars

by the looks of a lot of them the bars are a 1 piece grid thats clicked? into placeView attachment 7780

There's adhesive under the bars to glue them onto the glass, know this because one of my customers tryed to take them off when he moved into his house and now there's grey adhesive where it was, makes it a nightmare window, but he always makes me a decent cuppa so can't compain

There's a few that fall off every time I clean even lightly with brush - so ... I wouldn't mess with them boar as once you loosened they might keep dropping off

Some are clipped on a spongy type bit that is stuck on the glass

Most are bonded on so if removed need putting back on with double sided tape

The only ones that can be taken out are the click in ones that sit proud of the glass by about 2-5mm (in NZ anyway) and I generally water brush those. Leakage and dripping is a nightmare. All others are bonded to a single pane of glass by a double-sided tape or silicon sealant.

One's I come across in oz are stuck to the window. When they are starting to come off in places they are a nightmare, as Eric says as once you've finished you get water dripping underneath and down onto window below.
